Plimoth Harbor Trading
Rules-based crypto trading

Run on the tide, not the noise.

Plimoth Harbor Trading is a small, rules-first trading business. The 1-hour chart sets the tide. The 5-minute chart is the wind. A trade only goes out when the two agree, and every market read is posted free.

The method

Check the tide before the wind

Two charts, two jobs. Neither one gets to decide alone.

1H

The tide

The 1-hour chart sets the bias. A sloped trendline runs through the two most recent confirmed swing highs, and another through the two most recent swing lows. A close through one of those lines flips the tide, and it stays that way until the next break.

5M

The wind

The 5-minute chart is the only thing allowed to trigger a trade: a break of its own sloped trendline, taken only in the direction of the tide. No flat support or resistance. The line moves with real recent swings.

Risk rules

Built around what can be lost

Every trade is sized from current account equity and goes in with its stop and target already set. These rules don't bend for a good feeling about a chart.

2.5%Risk per tradeA bad trade is a bad day, not the end of the account.
1:2 to 1:4Reward to riskTargets set before entry, compared across three fixed versions.
2.5R → 2RProfit lockIf a trade reaches 2.5R and fades, it exits at 2R.
2Losses and doneTwo losses in a row ends the session. No revenge trades.
Market Watch

The daily read, posted free on Substack

Before each session: where SOL stands, which way the tide is running, the trendlines that matter next, and a snapshot of the coins worth watching. Free, and it always will be.

In every post
  • SOL/USD price, 24h range and the 1-hour bias
  • Which lines held, which broke, and the levels to watch next
  • Harbor Snapshot: BTC, ETH, SOL, LTC, XRP, SUI, NEAR, AVAX, APT
  • From the Log: whether a trade went out, and why
Track record

The ledger

Every live trade gets logged here, wins and losses alike. Days with no trade count too: most of this strategy is waiting.

The story

Plimoth Harbor Trading started with a small account, a set of written rules, and a decision to post every market read in public, win or lose.

The rules were tested before any real money went in. Every post shows the same process: check the tide, wait for the wind, and stay out when they don't agree. Follow along and see how it goes.
